Boredom....

My oldest who happens to be a girl tells me all the time, "I'm bored!" I tell her that with all the modern day electronics and crazy distractions there should never be a reason to be bored. Besides there is always some sort of work to be done. For God's sake make some fuckin jam or somethin..... Jesus Christ bake some bread! LOL!!!! Of course these are not things she wants to hear, and she spins into a downward funnel of depression and agony. I know that what she really wants is the attention of other people who do not belong to her family. LOL. Teenagers MUST be seen by others on a regular basis so they can feel good about themselves. HMMMMM what a concept. Shouldn't we feel good about ourselves no matter what anyone else thinks? I wonder, if we look good and no one sees us do we still really look good? Idk, but it's something to ponder. Well as I sit at my desk and observe the stacks of endless paperwork scattered about craving my undivided attention, I can't help but think, "I'M SO DAMN BORED!"
